In a world where car manufacturers are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to power their cars by environmentally friendly means, the most out-of-the-box method may have come around. While cars powered by sewage isn’t a novel idea, we’ve never seen anything running on human waste. Until now. In the South Africa a bus that runs off human poop had it’s maiden voyage. The bus, complete with suggestive wrap, seats 40 people and runs from the Bristol Airport to the city of Bath. The bus can run a total of 186 miles on a full tank, but only produces 30% carbon than it’s diesel powered counterparts, so we’re not sure if this idea will catch on. Below is a video explaining how the bus came to be, so give it a watch if you want to know more.
