Ultra-exclusive

In the world of supercars you get series production models such as your 458s. Then you get limited-edition versions, think LaFerrari. However, the Ferrari SP51belongs to the most exclusive group in Maranello’s range: one-offs. Each of these is a unique, absolutely bespoke car crafted to the specifications of a client.

812-based

The Ferrari SP51 was designed in-house by Flavio Manzoni. His starting point for this exercise was the front-engined V12 812 GTS. As a result the SP51 shares that car’s platform and drivetrain. Ferrari’s press release makes no mention of any changes to the mechanicals so we’ll assume it’s all pretty standard. As a reminder, the Ferrari 812 has as high-revving naturally aspirated V12 that sends its power to the rear wheels through a dual-clutch transmission.

Unique Appearance

Ferrari has made extensive use of bare carbon-fibre both on the exterior and in the cabin of the SP51. The bonnet features two air vents and the car has a full length blue and white stripe. In addition the face features specially-designed headlights. The bespoke wheels have carbon-fibre wing profiles on each of the spokes and feature a diamond-cut finish on the forward-facing section.

The cabin features the same custom colour for the exterior. The cabin is dominated by Alcantara. The white and blue stripe seen on the outside is also used on the interior. Glossy carbon-fibre trim has been extensively used throughout the interior.
