Double Apex welcomes a new contributor, Sabelo Nxele, to the team. We give you some background as to why we asked him to write for our site.

He is known as The Car Guy on Twitter. A pretty cool name for a err, car guy on one of the world’s largest social media networks. Sabelo has earned a reputation for giving out straightforward, honest advice to car buyers, which is why we asked him to contribute.

Insider info

Nxele is a car salesman, which would normally send most people running in the other direction. However, he places his principles and integrity above all else. “The car industry, sadly, has a reputation for many dishonest people and underhanded dealings, I want to change that. I believe it is possible to be honest and still gain new customers. There’s no need to lie to make a quick buck.”

Over the last decade or so The Car Guy has worked for leading automotive brands (by volume) in his hometown of Durban. His progression through the ranks is due to his strong work ethic and favourable rapport with buyers.

“I don’t believe in rushing buyers into purchase decisions, and think that no salesperson should. I aim to dispense advice, even if it doesn’t send them to a product in my sales portfolio. It can be daunting to buy a new car, especially for first-time buyers. I hope to help with advice that eases this process.”

“I look forward to sharing my insights and information with the readers of Double Apex, ultimately helping them to make informed decisions when it comes to buying cars, either new or used, in the SA market,” concluded Sabelo Nxele.
