The 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza took place last weekend at its traditional home Villa d’Este. The Italian hotel alongside picturesque Lake Como, once again, played host to dozens of rare and classic cars. In addition, the who’s who of the automotive world descended on the event to enjoy the start of the European summer.

New Outlook

Judging from the images that we browsed through, and those you see below, there seemed to be quite a shift away from events of the past. In years gone by we saw old, pre-war machines and grand tourers from brands that no longer exist. This year we noted several modern, supercars and hypercars on show, not to forget a few restomods and homologations specials.

Among the newer machinery were a Ferrari F40 GTE as well as the only RHD Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster in existence. Additionally there was a race-spec McLaren F1 as well as a Ferrari F40. There were, however, plenty of older cars on show. BMW Classic, long time sponsors of the event, brought out many classics. Many other brands were represented, including Lago, Rolls Royce, Duesenberg, Bentley, Pegaso, Maserati and Aston Martin. Fittingly, Best of Show went to a  1933 Alfa Romeo Tipo B P3. The car proudly wears the Prancing Horse logo, the mark of an up and comer by the name of Enzo Ferrari…
